Miriam Sturkenboom

Miriam Sturkenboom is a professor in Observational Data Analysis, a pharmacoepidemiologist, currently working at the Julius Global Health group of University Medical Center Utrecht in the Netherlands. She is a past president of ISPE. Her research focuses on knowledge discovery from data collected in routine health care to improve evidence on drug and vaccine effects. She is coordinator of the IMI funded ADVANCE project aiming to establish a tested system for the monitoring of benefits and risks of vaccines and the upcoming ConcepTION project. She has designed and implemented ecosystems for collaborative distributed data networks in the drug and vaccine area in Europe and globally. H-index 73.
